Ranji Trophy knock-out draw 22 January 2001
Delhi will take on Tamil Nadu at Chennai while last year's runners-up Hyderabad will clash with Madhya Pradesh at Indore in the Ranji Trophy knock-out pre-quarter-finals to be played from March 8-11. Reigning champions Mumbai, who have got a bye directly to the quarter-finals, will play the winners of the Punjab-Rajasthan tie from March 22-25 in the quarterfinal. The Punjab-Rajasthan pre-quarter final will be held at Mohali from March 8-11, according to a BCCI release in Mumbai on Monday. In the other pre-quarter-finals to be held from March 8-11, former champions Karnataka will play Assam at Guwahati, Orissa will take on Jammu and Kashmir at Cuttack, Baroda will cross swords with Bengal at Baroda and Maharashtra will clash with Railways at Pune, the release added. The quarter-finals will be held from March 22-25 while the semi-finals will be played from April 5-8. The five-day final is slated from April 19-23. The following is the schedule for the pre-quarter-finals: March 8-11: Punjab vs Rajasthan at Mohali, Assam vs Karnataka at Guwahati, Maharashtra vs Railways at Pune, Delhi vs Tamil Nadu at Chennai, Baroda vs Bengal at Baroda, Orissa vs Jammu & Kashmir at Cuttack and Madhya Pradesh vs Hyderabad at Indore. © PTI
