Heavy tropical rains in Kenya are threatening the Sri Lanka A tour. All the grounds in Nairobi are drenched and unfit for play. The poor weather has forced the Kenyan Cricket Board to make immediate changes to the itinerary.
The team, who arrived in Kenya for the two-week tour on Sunday night, has already flown to the coastal town of Mombassa, where they will now play two one-day matches and one three-day game.
All the matches are to be played against the Kenyan national squad. The first three-day game is due to start on Tuesday morning. Kumar Dharmasena is captain of the Sri Lankan team.
The tour was originally expected to be five-weeks in length. However, with the senior side also on tour, the Sri Lankan Cricket Board decided that this would lower the standard of the Premier League tournament and they opted to shorten the tour.
