King still on the mend West Indies Cricket Board - 11 January 2001
Guyanese and West Indies fast bowler Reon King is continuing to undergo rehabilitation as he prepares to get back into competitive cricket following his recent injury woes. Under the guidance of Dr. Terry Ali, King has been doing light training and rehabilitation work in Trinidad and on January 16 will have a final scan in Barbados prior to his return to regional cricket. Both the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) are continuing to monitor King's progress and are looking forward to his full return to fitness. In the meantime, West Indies Under-19 batsman Narsingh Deonarine has been added to the West Indies 'B' squad to cover for injured captain, Richie Richardson, as the team prepares for its second round match of the Busta Cricket Series against the Windward Islands at Arnos Vale in St. Vincent starting tomorrow, January 12. © 2001 WICB
