Karachi Blues, buoyed by their first win of the season last week, take on Sargodha in the penultimate round of matches in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy National Grade-I Cricket Championship here at the UBL Sports Complex from tomorrow (Monday).

In fact, Karachi Blues were the only outright winners in the ninth round fixture, defeating Islamabad by an innings and 14 runs at the KCCA Stadium. The other games around the country were badly hit by inclement weather.

The match between second-placed Lahore Blues and Faisalabad was abandoned with a ball being bowled because of rain and inadequate covering at the LCCA Ground in Lahore.

Karachi Whites still head the 12-team points table with 75 despite conceding three points to Rawalpindi on the first innings. The other side to score points were Sheikhupura, who got three in the rain-hit drawn match against Bahawalpur.

Sheikhupura are tied with Karachi Blues at the bottom of the standings with 12 points.
