South Island Primary School Cricket Tournament

The Christchurch Junior Cricket Association is set to host the showpiece of South Island Junior Cricket, the Primary School Tournament.
The tournament will start on Monday 8th January and run for five days. Fourteen teams will be playing and the tournament will based at Burnside Park and Ilam Oval. The games will be played as 50 over contests.
Two strong Christchurch (Red and Black) sides will be contest the tournament and they will be joined by sides from Mid Canterbury, South Canterbury, Buller, West Coast, Nelson, Marlborough, North Otago, Dunedin Metro, Southland Country, Southland Metro, Canterbury Country and Central Otago.
The draw, which is done on a rotational basis over three years, has Christchurch Black playing Mid Canterbury and Christchurch Red playing West Coast on the opening day of the tournament. Other games on the first day include Buller v Canterbury Country, Central Otago v Marlborough, Dunedin Metro v Southland Country, Nelson v Southland Metro and North Otago v South Canterbury.
