Boycott to return again in May, September 23 February 2001
Karachi: Former England opener, Geoffrey Boycott, will visit Pakistan again in May and September in connection with his coaching assignment at the National Academy in Lahore. The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Lt Gen Tauqir Zia said from Mangla that Boycott has been asked to confirm his availability for the remaining two phases. "As soon as Boycott confirms the dates of his availability, the schedule will be released. "The financial packages for the two visits will be different. But his both the trips would be financed by McDonald's who sponsored his this month's assignment," Zia said. The PCB chief said the proposed months have been picked keeping in mind the momentum the Academy would have taken and then the forthcoming home series against New Zealand. "By May, the Academy will be in full swing. The domestic circuit will be completed and the boys would be available" added PCB chief.
