National Cricket League underway

Five matches were played last Saturday in the Belize National Cricket
Competition.
Brilliant defeated Brave Union with a score of 46 to 41 runs, with nine wickets to spare. Lyle Tillett led the scoring for Brilliant with 28 runs, while he took out two wickets to also lead the bowling. B.Hyde was the top batter for Brave Union with 12 runs, and Fredrick Reynolds, Jr. took the only wicket for Brave Union.
Charles Baizar scored 52 runs to lead Sunrise to a 159 to 91 victory over Not So Quick. Ian Broaster took two wickets for the winner. R.Thompson scored 25 runs to lead Not So Quick, while E. McFadzean took two wickets.
Long Journey dimmed Bright Star with a score of 50 to 48 runs, with six wickets to spare. Mark Dawson uprooted an impressive eight wickets for the winner, while Dinsdale Flowers topped scored with 24 runs for Long Journey. Glen Pook scored 15 runs for Bright Star, while Mervin Budd smothered two wickets.
Wicked Eleven had nine wickets to spare after they defeated City Boys with a score of 60 to 54 runs. Michael Flowers was the man of the match with a score of 30 runs for the Wicked one, while Egbert Robinson and Darren Rhaburn each bowled three wickets for the winner. Leonel Banner scored 15 runs and Kenroy Roca took the only wicket for the boys from the city.
In a hotly contested match, Western Eagles barely defeated Unknown by a
score of 46 to 43 runs. T.Duhaney took out three wickets for the winner,
while Jeremaine Pook scored 25 runs. Dean Perez uprooted 6 wickets in a
losing cause and Dorian Gabb score of 15 runs was not sufficient for Unknown
