Manvinder Bisla to lead India U-17 team in Asia Cup Staff Reporter - 9 February 2001
Manvinder Bisla of Haryana will lead the Indian team in the ICC-ACC Under-17 Asia Cup to be held in Bangladesh from February 15 to 25. Wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel of Gujarat will be Bisla's deputy and the 14-member team would assemble in Delhi on February 12 before leaving for Dhaka on February 14, a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) release said in Mumbai on Thursday. The team: Manvinder Bisla (capt-Haryana), Parthiv Patel (vice-capt-Gujarat), Shekhar Dhawan and K Rawat (both Delhi), Sachin Dhopure and Mohnish Mishra (both Madhya Pradesh), Deepak Chowgule and Stuart Binny (both Karnataka), Gaurav Gupta (Punjab), G Shankar Rao (Andhra), Rakesh Mohanty and Bignesh Mohanty (both Orissa), Devendra Singh (Uttar Pradesh) and Nikhil Rathod (Saurashtra).
