Juniors face Pakistan 'A' 13 December 2001
Pakistan 'A' cricket team will play two matches each against Pakistan senior team and the Junior from Dec 25 to 31. The matches are being organised to provide Pakistan senior and the Junior side practices before departing on their respective tours. The Pakistan senior is visiting Bangladesh from Jan 2, 2002 while the Juniors is to take part in the World Cup to be held in New Zealand from Jan 15, 2002. Each innings will be of 45 overs. Pakistan senior team will meet 'A' side at Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore Country Club, Muridke on Dec 25 and 27, respectively. Pakistan Juniors will clash with 'A' at Rawalpindi on Dec 29 and 31. All matches will begin at 9:30 a.m. The announcement of the Pakistan senior team for the Bangladesh tour was delayed without any reason. The names had been submitted by the national selection committee to the PCB on Wednesday at 3pm, but the board decided to delay the announcement. A PCB spokesman said that the Pakistan 'A' team will also be announced with the senior team to play practice matches. Meanwhile, the first phase of the national training camp concluded at the Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.
