R100 000 worth of designer sunglasses on offer at St George's Park
Media Release - 10 December 2001

After the Spec-Savers Jumbo's deserving win over Free State on Sunday, local cricket lovers can prepare themselves for a festive, action-packed day/night game on Wednesday when the Kwa-Zulu Natal Dolphins face the Spec-Savers Jumbos at St George's Park.

Spec-Savers have introduced a new rewards program for loyal supporters of the Spec-Savers Jumbos. According to Duncan Brown, Commercial Manager of Spec-Savers SA, Top-Up is a unique program that Spec-Savers have introduced to reward their customers as well as those who support the Spec-Savers Jumbos.

"At every Standard Bank Limited Overs Match played at St George's Park, supporters have the opportunity of earning Top-Up points. One point equates to one rand and spectators can choose to accumulate points from each game and then redeem them against sunglass purchases at any Spec-Savers outlet countrywide.

"For this week's game and Adult who registers at the ground will receive 20 points and scholars will receive 10 points. Families are entitled to 'pool' their points by adding them onto one card and then redeeming them at an outlet of their choice. If a spectator is already a Top-Up member then he merely has to give his Top-Up details to the Spec-Savers staff at any entrance to the ground and his account will be credited with the relevant number of points," says Brown.

"Once their accounts have been credited, supporters use these points against sunglass purchases at Spec-Savers branches country wide," says Brown.

Another bonus is that supporters will automatically be entered into a draw in which Spec-Savers will give away R100 000's worth of designer sunglasses at each one-day game in which the Spec-Savers Jumbos participate this season.

During the dinner break, the younger and more energetic fans can participate in the on-field entertainment run by EP Cricket's Coaching Department. The ever-popular Radar Bowling Machine promises great fun and entertainment.

As always it is Party Night in Castle Corner after the match and this time B-Sharp will entertain supporters till the very last minute.

Ticket prices for the match are as follows:

- Executive Level Reserved Seating R35

- Adults Unreserved R20

- Scholars Unreserved R10

The Spec-Saver Jumbo team for Wednesday's clash will be announced tomorrow morning.
