Anirudh Singh grafts century Staff Reporter - 5 December 2001
Hyderabad, building a good second-innings total, set Kerala a steep target of 327 in their Ranji Trophy league match at Cochin on Tuesday. Resuming at 124/2, Hyderabad's batsmen did not allow a slide similar to their first innings. With Anirudh Singh playing the anchor role, a number of small innings contributed to their final total of 334/9 declared. Singh made 124 off 231 balls, with 16 fours, falling only as the eighth wicket. For Kerala, Suresh Kumar took four for 115. Playing out 6.2 overs before stumps, Kerala reached 10 for no loss, with openers V Girilal and MP Sorab unbeaten on seven and one respectively. © CricInfo
