Shoaib and Saqlain missing from camp 2 December 2001
Barring three probables, all the other 22 have reported to the national cricket camp which started at the Gaddafi Stadium Saturday. The camp has been set up to prepare and finalise Pakistan team for the forthcoming tour of Bangladesh starting from Jan 2 for two Tests and three one-day matches. Off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq and paceman Shoaib Akhtar, who are away from home and Faisal Irfan did not join the camp on the opening day. The players played rugby and did some physical exercises as no net practice session was held. Those who present in the camp were: Waqar Younis (captain), Saeed Anwar, Taufiq Umer, Imran Farhat, Shadab Kabir, Shahid Afridi, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Yousaf Youhana,Naveed Latif, Younis Khan, Faisal Iqbal, Rashid Latif, Kamran Akmal, Abdur Razzaq, Azhar Mahmood, Wasim Akram, Abdul Rauf, Mohammad Sami, Waqar Ahmad, Danish Kaneria, Shoaib Malik and Mushtaq Ahmad. © Dawn
