Umpires & Referees Manager

Based at Lord's Cricket Ground, this person will oversee and manage all aspects of the new professional Panel of Elite and International Umpires and the ICC Referees.
The primary role of the Umpires & Referees Manager is to manage, mentor and coach umpires and referees for their demanding jobs in Test and One Day International cricket worldwide.
The person will work in the ICC Cricket Operations Department. A major role will be developing and implementing an accreditation and training program for the development of professional umpires and referees.
This will include:
- The day-to-day management of the Elite Panel of 8/10 umpires, who will stand in International cricket worldwide.
- In liaison with the Full Members, implementation of the day-to-day management of the International Panel of 20 Umpires, who will stand in International cricket and receive specific training to elevate them to Elite Panel status.
- The day-to-day management of the ICC Referees panel of 5 referees.
- The training, fitness, performance assessment and personal development of umpires and referees.
- The establishment of an overseas exchange program for Panel umpires between Full and Associate Member countries, to provide valuable experience in standing in different conditions.
- Preparing and monitoring budgets for umpires and referees and overseeing all contractual arrangements.
ICC is seeking a person with an excellent knowledge and understanding of the game and the Laws of Cricket. Previous experience as an umpire, referee or player would be an advantage. Good interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to communicate with people from different cultures are essential. ICC is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic person who is able to work in a small team.
