Julian Fountain, one of the several foreigners engaged to improve Pakistan cricket, joined the national team's training camp Thursday. Fountain, who was initially hired to improve junior team's fielding, joined the camp so that his remaining day of contract could be utilized.

"The boys had an excellent morning session with Julian (Fountain)," team manager Yawar Saeed told reporters, adding that the former Surrey fielding coach would remain with the players for another eight to 10 days.

"He had some days of his contract remaining. It was, therefore, decided to utilize his services at this camp which would only benefit the boys and help in improving overall standard of fielding," Yawar said.

The camp itself is progressing smoothly with every player trying to get the best out of the facility provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The batsmen are having good enough time to help them get into form while the bowlers are testing the batsmen to the limits. However, the fast bowlers are regularly over-stepping the mark in an effort to extract more pace. This trend has let Pakistan down as when these fast bowlers represent the country, these habitual offenders continue to over-step which allows the opposition extra balls and cheap runs.
