Leading players from Pakistan such as Wasim Akram, Aamer Sohail and Moin Khan will help to complete the Asian line up. The Rest of the World side is currently being selected. However already on the team and raring to take on this formidable Asian side are; Adam Gilchrist, Jimmy Adams, Graham Thorpe, Courtney Walsh, Reon King, and Andy Caddick John Major, President of Surrey County Cricket Club stated: "I am delighted at the prospect of having another opportunity to watch the world's best play against each other. With the demanding international fixture schedule it is exceedingly rare for this type of event to take place; and having this calibre of players taking part is a wonderful achievement for Surrey County Cricket Club. Last year's fixture between the two sides provided some magical cricketing moments for the sell out crowd as the Rest of the World won in the final over, and I have no doubt that, this year, we will experience similar drama on the pitch." This opportunity to witness some of the finest cricketers from around the world comes as a result of the major redevelopment at the AMP Oval. A new grandstand incorporating banqueting and conferencing facilities together with improvements to the Vauxhall End of the ground are two phases of a development costing in the region of £18 million. Included within the plans is a unique interactive Cricket Museum and FICA Hall of Fame. Also included within the plans is an educational facility aimed at bringing cricket into the classroom and children to the AMP Oval. The Museum and Educational Unit will be run by a newly formed charity, The Oval Trust A limited number of tickets are available priced between £15 and £30.
