Sussex captain Chris Adams will miss next week's zonal group matches in the
Benson and Hedges Cup with a broken thumb.
The former England batsman sustained the injury when he was hit on the right hand by a ball from Worcestershire pace bowler Alamgir Sheriyar on Friday.
Adams is expected to be out of action for a fortnight, starting with a
Norwich Union League game against Worcestershire tomorrow and then five matches
in the Benson and Hedges Cup.
