PCB condoles former Test Umpire Shakoor Rana's death

The Pakistan Cricket Board, on Tuesday, condoled the death of former Test Umpire Shakoor A, Rana, who had suddenly expired on Monday night due to cardiac arrest.
Through a letter addressed to the eldest son of Mr. Shakoor Rana, PCB's Chairman Lt. Gen. Tauqir Zia lauded the services rendered by the late Test Umpire for the game of cricket. Mr. Shakoor Rana had a very long and eventful association with the game. He was respected as a player and as a Test Umpire of international standing, who had the guts to stand tall in the time of crisis. Besides him, his family is a true cricketing family in many ways.
Meanwhile Director PCB, Brig. Munawar Ahmed Rana accompanied by senior officials and staff members of the PCB Headquarters personally condoled the death of late Test Umpire with his sons and others members of family including Shafqat Rana, Azmat Rana and Sultan Rana, at their Kapurthala House residence. They also later joined the funeral prayers offered at the adjacent university ground.
