PCB clarifies allocation of NSK to PWCCA for matches against visiting Dutch Team
Pakistan Cricket Board - 4 April 2001
A news item has appeared in the Press regarding the allocation of NSK (National Stadium, Karachi) to PWCCA (Pakistan Women's Cricket Control Association) for their matches against the visiting Dutch Team. The PCB wishes to clarify that this does not signify any recognition of either side in the ongoing dispute between the two womens cricket associations. We have given National Stadium Karachi to PWARYA as we gave Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore to PWCA (Pakistan Womens Cricket Association) a few months back.
Pakistan Cricket Board has been entertaining various requests for allocation of grounds for different matches. In this context National Stadium, Karachi was allocated to PWCCA for matches at Karachi. PWCA was also allocated Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore for day and night match on 25th November 2000. The grounds are allocated only for playing purpose which in no way means that PCB recognizes any of the women factions/groups.
