Talented players being ignored 27 October 2000
PCB is continuously ignoring talented players like Faisal Naveed and Misbah-ul-Haq by not including them in the side matches against the touring England team. Former first class cricketer and coach of the Servis Industries team Tahir Shah in a Press release issued on Thursday said that Faisal Naveed, while representing Gujranwala had scored 776 runs in the last first class season including four centuries. He also held a new record of carrying the bat thrice in last season. In current season, Faisal Naveed has scored 293 against the LCCA while playing for Sialkot in the Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Trophy Grade-II event. He also scored 90 runs against Okara. Misbah-ul-Haq scored 856 runs in the last domestic season while playing for Sui Gas and Sargodha teams. This season, Misbah-ul-Haq has scored 90 and 73 runs, against Sheikhupura and Faisalabad, respectively, while playing for Sargodha.
