BRISBANE - Queensland was forced to make a late change to its one-day cricket team today when swing bowler Adam Dale was ruled out of Sunday's clash with New South Wales.
Dale aggravated a shoulder problem when he was lifting a bag and selectors immediately called for all-rounder Brendan Creevey to join the team for the Bankstown Oval match.
Dale had travelled to Sydney with the squad this morning before he was injured and he will now be given time to recover for Thursday's four-day match against Tasmania in Brisbane.
The recall was just reward for Creevey, who took a staggering 79 wickets for his Brisbane first-grade club last season after being dropped from the Bulls team.
The 30-year-old represented Australia A last year after he was twice named in the Mercantile Mutual Cup Super Team.
