Western Fury begin new season
Western Australia Cricket Association - 19 October 2000
Western Fury, WA's team in the National Women's Cricket League, begin season 2000-2001 with a double-header against Victoria this weekend.
Western Fury are aiming to go one better than last year when they had their best finish to a season, finishing runners-up to perennial champions New South Wales at the SCG.
Zoe Goss is captain for the second season in succession, while Angele Gray is in her first year as vice-captain. Former WA spinner Bret Mulder goes into his second season as coach.
