Kent back Wright in his talks with India Staff and Agencies - 17 October 2000
The former New Zealand opener and current Kent coach, John Wright, is to be interviewed by India for their vacant coach's position. "John's contract is up so the ICB have approached the county to discuss the Indian job with him," Simon Willis, the Kent administration manager stated. "The county has given its full backing and at the moment John has got to speak to the ICB. Until the outcome of that, our own coaching position is unclear." Greg Chappell or Wright are the only names remaining on the short-list for the Indian job. © CricInfo Ltd.
