Inaugural 'Inter-Gulf Cup Approaches

Three more national associations have announced squads for next month's inaugural 'Farmers Inter-Gulf Cup' tournament to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Faisal Al Marzouk, Kuwait's first national captain, has retained the post for the inaugural gathering of Gulf Cup countries slated for February 13-18 after captaining the Emirate in the country's initial matches during the country's tour of Pakistan last year.

Along with Bank of Kuwait player Mehmoud Bastaki, he is the only Kuwaiti- born player in a 24-man squad to be reduced to 14 in the next few days.

While having toured Pakistan, this will be the first time Kuwait has played another national side.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's first ever national squad includes three players listed as 'Saudis' - Naveed Aqbal Mohd, Nadeem Saad Al-Nadvi and Sadat Hussain.

Qatar's debut national side will be led by Shahid Rizwan.

Should 'Beyond The Test World' exist in a fortnight, it will bring you the final Kuwaiti squad, along with the Inter-Gulf Cup squads for Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

It will also seek to interview UAE coach, Mushtaq Mohammad.
