The Barbados Nation Weather factor in Div. 1 games
The Barbados Nation - 5 September 1999

The current unsettled weather may upset the best laid out plans for today’s final day of the sixth round in the Courts Suzuki Division 1 Cricket Competition.

Tournament leaders Police will like what they see as they seek to topple second-placed ICB Empire in the Blues’ own backyard. The lawmen have so far defended their title manfully, and should favour their chances of quickly knocking over the last eight Empire wickets and reaching the victory target.

Cockspur Wanderers would also be looking to secure full points against lowly BCL. Wanderers’ batsmen made maximum use of perfect condition last week, and their strong seam attack, would make life tough as BCL try to avoid an innings defeat.
