4 October 1999

Karachi, Oct 3: South African Richard Pybus is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on Monday to take over the charge of assistant coach of the Pakistan cricket team.

According to insiders in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Pybus is reaching Lahore after being given the green-signal by his provincial side Border.

Pybus, who was Mushtaq Mohammad's assistant in the World Cup, will travel to Sharjah in the same capacity before replacing Wasim Raja as coach on the tour Down Under.

Insiders said Pybus was scheduled to meet PCB ad hoc committee chairman Mujeeb-ur-Rehman on Tuesday.
