Moin Khan completes Test double 20 November 1999
Karachi, Nov 19: Moin Khan became only the third Pakistan wicket-keeper to complete a Test double. He achieved the feat when he stumped Glenn McGrath off Saqlain Mushtaq during second day's play at Hobart. The dismissal of McGrath gave Moin Khan his 100th Test scalp (85 catches and 15 stumpings) besides 1,987 runs (three centuries and13 fifties) from 49 Tests. Only Wasim Bari and Salim Yousuf are the other two Pakistani wicket-keepers to complete a Test double. Bari scored 1,366 runs besides accounting for 228 batsmen behind the wickets (201 catches and 27 stumpings) in 81 Tests. Salim Yousuf's 1,055 runs and 104 scalps (91 catches and 13 stumpings)came in 32 Tests. When contacted in Hobart, Moin said: "I never chase records but if they come, its a bonus. "I feel happy to be bracketed with Wasim (Bari) and Salim (Yousuf). Wasim is my childhood idol while I replaced Salim in the Test side some eight years ago." Moin is also the joint world-record holder of quickest 100 scalps in one-day cricket. He achieved the feat in his 70th game.
