Jamaica Schools: J. Grant capture Colts title The Jamaica Gleaner - 19 May 1999 A match-winning performance of eight wickets and an unbeaten half century from Jamaica Under-15 allrounder Andre O'Sullivan helped steer Jonathan Grant High to a five-wicket victory over Campion College and their third Corporate Area Chester Watson Colts title at Melbourne Oval yesterday. Scores: Campion College 151 after 77 overs; Jonathan Grant 152 for five after 44.2 overs. Jonathan Grant, resuming on their overnight 63 for three, added five runs before Orlando Richards was caught by wicketkeeper Jason Strachan for three. The fall of Richards wicket brought out the explosive O'Sullivan who along with Towan Henry posted a solid 71-run partnership for the fifth wicket before off-spinner Andrew Jarrett broke the pair at 139 for five when he won a leg before decision against Henry from umpire Ian Grizzle after the batsman had hit him for a huge six from the previous delivery. Henry faced 71 deliveries for a well-played 35 which included the six and two fours. O'Sullivan, who in Campion's innings captured eight wickets for 44 runs from 32 overs, went on to blast 10 boundaries from 41 deliveries to make his team's top score of 52 not out. He was extremely severe on medium pacer Alexis Goffe whom he hit for four consecutive boundaries to post his first 16 runs. He also stroked out of the attack the best of Campion's bowlers, pacer Jonathan Newman, who ended with two for 37 from 16 overs. Jonathan Grant will next play the rural Dickie Fuller Colts champions for the all-island Colts title which they have won twice.
