Meril Tournament: Zimbabwe, Kenya arrive today Our Sports Reporter - 17 March 1999 Tri-nation tournament starts March 19 The Zimbabwean and Kenyan cri-cket teams will arrive in the capital this morning to take part in the Meril International Cricket Tournament billed for a March 19 start at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. The three-nation day-night one-day tournament, also involving ICC trophy winners Bangladesh, has been arranged as part of the hosts' preparation for the forthcoming World Cup to be held in England in about two months time. All the matches will start at 2 pm BST. Both Zimbabwe and Kenya, who have already announced their teams, will arrive by the same flight from Dubai. Each team will meet the others twice in the first round before the two top teams play in the march 27 final. Three umpires- Javed Akhter of Pakistan, Peter Manuel of Sri Lanka and VK Ramaswami of India, who have already arrived in the city, have been designated by ICC to officiate the matches. Squads: Zimbabwe: Alistair Campbell (captain), Eddo Brandes, S Carlisle, Andy Flower, M Goodwin, Adam Huckle, Neil Johnson, M Mbangwa, Henry Olonga, Paul Strang, Heath Streak, D Viljoen, Guy Whittall and Andrew Whittall. Kenya: Asif Karim (captain), Maurice Odumbe (vice-captain), Ravindu Shah, Stephen Tikolo, Sandeep Gupta, Martin Suji, Tony Suji, Alpesh Vadher, Hitesh Modi, Kennedy Otieno, Thomas Odoyo, Deepak Chudasama, Joseph Angara, Muhammad Sheikh and James Kamande.
