Sri Lanka Schools: Thushara Madanayake 8 for 101 S M Jiffrey Abdeen - 7 March 1999 Kingswood College skipper and off spinner Thushara Madanayake took 8 for 101 to reach 62 wickets for the season in their Elephant Lemonade Cup inter-school cricket match against Zahira College, Maradana which ended in a draw at Police Grounds, Kandy. Though the Kingswoodians had a lead of 39 runs but they found themselves in trouble in the second essay with a balling slump at 56 for 6 but a grand seventh wicket partnership of 150 runs between Chamara Seneviratne 88 (10 fours, 2 sixes) and new comer Ruchira Marasinghe 56 (9 fours) pulled them out of the woods. Lasitha Ekanayake and Chamara Seneviratne have both scored 600 runs for the Kingswoodians this season. For the Zahirians Mohamed Rilwan 88 (12 fours), S. Ziyad 51 (8 fours) and K. Badurdeen 77 (10 fours) propped the batting. Scores: Kingswood College: 303 for 8 declared in 64 overs. (Lakshitha Herath 68, Malith Mallawarachchi 45, Chamara Seneviratne 44, L. Ekanayake 31, T.
