Day three, third Test, Kensington Oval, Barbados
Today was one of those days that you like to forget. It was a shocker!
There is no other way to describe it. Out just before stumps for one.
Hit in the knee while standing at short leg. Letting the West Indies off
the hook with the ball.
I always try to be very happy and positive with my postcards, but to be
completely honest I am sitting here in my hotel room feeling sorry for
myself, and wishing my mum, my wife or my daughter were here to give me
a big hug and cheer me up a bit. It sounds a bit soppy, but when you do
have days like this there is no where to hide as a professional
cricketer away from home.
You don't have many days of this nature but when you do I guess the only
consolation is that the sun will come up tomorrow. It always does!
Sorry to give you a bleak picture today but I guess it is only fair that
I share all the emotions of playing cricket for Australia so that you
can have a complete insight into life on tour.
