Jamaica Schools: Jonathan Grant oppose KC in final The Jamaica Gleaner - 31 March 1999 Champions Jonathan Grant High will face Kingston College in today's Tappin Cup final at Melbourne Oval starting at noon. The teams met in the Sunlight Cup final at the same venue in 1997 and again in 1998 when KC turned out the victors. A lot is expected from the Spanish Town-based champions after pulling off victories over Clan Carthy Comprehensive, St. Jago High and Wolmer's coming up to today's final. Once again, captain and Jamaica Under-19 representative Tamar Lambert will lead the defending champions' batting with National Under-15 all-rounder Andre O'Sullivan, Gerald Morgan, David Harrison and Greg Hare, while pacers Roshane Ferron, Howard Walters, Richard Lewin along with Lambert and O'Sullivan are expected to share the bowling. The Roy McLean-coached Kingston College, however, have a history in local schoolboy cricket and has been a compact team for the past two seasons, having a considerable amount of talent in Jamaica and West Indies Under-19 allrounder Marlon Samuels and captain Sean Cousley, who are expected to lead their batting. KC's bowling is expected to be spearheaded by former Jamaica Under-15 captain and pacer Andrew Richardson along with spinners Samuels, Martin Isaacs, Orville Clarke and Lincoln Granston.
