Jamaica Clubs: Wins for Lucas, JDF, and Kingston The Jamaica Gleaner - 22 March 1999 Lucas, Jamaica Defence Force and Kingston scored wins in the fifth round of the Rothmans Surrey Senior Cup which ended yesterday. At Nelson Oval: Lucas scored an emphatic 10 wickets victory over Police. Scores: Police 121 and 164; Lucas 219 for five declared and 67 without loss. Dixieth Palmer with 49, and Junior Forbes with 47scored most runs in the Police second innings against Gareth Breese who followed his first innings 5-47 with 3-35. Royan Smith who was not out 106 when Lucas declared hit an unbeaten 52 to pilot his team to victory. At Up Park Camp: JDF romped to an emphatic innings and 134 runs victory over Boys Town. Scores: Boys Town 120 (Rohan Lambert 31; Howard Copeland 3-17, Warren Medwynter 2-25, Paul Brown 2-29, Layton Brown 2-30) and 65 (Warren Medwynter 5-14, Howard Copeland 3-11); JDF 319 (Wayne Cuff 70, Howard Copeland 45, Anthony Folkes 44, Paul Brown 40). At Seprod: Kingston beat Tivoli Gardens by an innings and 121 runs. Scores: Kingston 270 for six declared (Nicholas Austin 88, Nehemiah Perry 56 n.o., James Adams 50); Tivoli 61 (Ryan Cunningham 5-18, Nehemiah Perry 4-19) and 88 (Kerry Scott 5-28, Nehemiah Perry 4-20).
