Cullinan record puts him back in top ten (just!) PricewaterhouseCoopers Media Release - 4 March 1999 Daryll Cullinan's record innings of 275 not out has lifted him to tenth equal in the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Ratings. In a high scoring match where batting was easy, big innings had considerably less impact on player points than would normally be the case (and the penalty on bowlers with poor figures was also considerably lower). Players reaching their career-best Ratings today include batsmen Saeed Anwar (now 2nd after his match-winning century in Calcutta) and Mahela Jayawardene (27th), and bowlers Saqlain Mushtaq (14th) and Shoaib Akhtar (40th). Because other players have dropped below him, Murray Goodwin (10th= with Cullinan) has become the first Zimbabwean batsman to enter the top ten of the PwC Ratings - although perhaps Graeme Hick deserves an honorary mention here.
