Bangladesh: BTV plans to show 30 World Cup games live The Daily Star - 8 March 1999 Bangladesh Television (BTV) is likely to telecast live 30, out of 42 matches, of the World Cup cricket tournament to be held in England in May and June next, a senior BTV official said yesterday. ``We are working on it,'' the official told BSS, adding the BTV will also telecast the highlights of the remaining matches. BTV is trying to have satellite booking for the matches, particularly the matches of Bangladesh, he said. All the nine full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and three associate members - Bangladesh, Kenya and Scotland - will take part in the World Cup. Bangladesh will play their opening encounter against New Zealand on May 17 at Essex, England.
