Only five members of West Indies' World Cup squad did themselves justice in the tournament, the team's chairman of selectors claimed yesterday.

Mike Findlay said he was disappointed with the entire team, bar wicketkeeper-batsman Ridley Jacobs and fast bowlers Courtney Walsh, Curtly Ambrose, Reon King and Mervyn Dillon. ``None of the other players really lived up to expectations,'' Findlay said after West Indies failed to qualify for the Super Sixes.

``I am still to hear from The Management the reasons for the poor performance,'' he said, adding that it was clear there was a need for more quality, all-round players.

Imran Khan, the former Pakistan captain, has offered to help Asian community leaders ensure tomorrow's game between India and Pakistan passes off peacefully.

Imran has offered to help before the match at Old Trafford, with tensions between the nations high after military clashes over the disputed region of Kashmir. ``I have told Lancashire I am available to help them make a success of it,'' he said. ``We can't afford to let it go wrong.''
