Northern League: Preview The Lancashire Evening Telegraph - 4 June 1999 Table-Topping Darwen have the luxury of an unchanged side for their trip to Lancaster tomorrow. The Birch Hall men maintained their unbeaten record in a nerve-jangler against bottom-placed Leyland DAF last Monday but face an unknown quantity in Pakistani professional Raj Hans. Chairman Peter Lamster said: ``We have won more at the end of May than we did for the whole of last season. ``We generally have a good start to the season. Hopefully this year our results will continue throughout the season.'' Three straight wins have lifted Chorley into second place and they will be aiming to keep up the pressure on leaders Darwen when Morecambe visit Windsor Park tomorrow. On Sunday, Chorley renew rivalry with Blackpool at Stanley Park in the regional semi-final of the National Cup. Both clubs are previous winners of the national championship and Chorley have won twice at Blackpool in recent years en-route to the final at Lords. In the national competition Blackpool have an advantage of being able to play professional Marcus Sharp, whereas Chorley's in-form paceman Josh Marquet is ineligible.
