Match-fixing report awaited, NA told The Dawn - 22 June 1999 Islamabad, June 21: The National Assembly was informed on Monday that the report of the one-man judicial commission probing the allegations of match-fixing by Pakistan team cricketers is awaited and action will be taken in the light of the findings by the commission. Mian Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, MNA from Lahore, had asked the minister of sports to state whether it was a fact that there are general complaints of gambling in cricket. He had further inquired that if it was the case then what measures are being adopted to improve our image. Another MNA Babar Khan Gori had inquired the names, qualification and domicile of the members of Pakistan's World Cup cricket team. In response it was stated that PCB only maintain the cricketing record of the players, therefore the information asked by the MNA can only be submitted once the team returns from England.
