The victorious Bangladesh cricket team, who registered one of the greatest upsets in the history of World Cup defeating Pakistan by 62 runs at Northampton on Monday, will return home on Friday to attend a civic reception to be held at Paltan Maidan the same day at 10:30 am.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the reception as the chief guest which will be organised by Dhaka City Corporation.

The team is being flown back under special arrangement, and will return to England on June 8 to fulfil tour commitments.

This was announced by State Minister for Youth and Sports Obaidul Quader at a press conference yesterday.
