Pradeep Hewage (107 n.o), Saman Jayantha (104) and Chandika Hathurusinghe (105) hit centuries as Seylan Bank beat Commercial Bank by 127 runs and Hatton National Bank defeated Bartleet Group by 138 runs in their Singer sponsored Mercantile 'A' division limited over cricket matches at the NCC ,P. Sara Stadium Colts grounds Havelock Park yesterday.

At the P Sara Stadium a century by Test batsman Chandika Hathurusinghe was insufficient to save Sampath Bank from a defeat at the hands of John Keels. In reply to Sampath Bank's 275 for 6 in their 50 overs John Keells recorded a close last over 2 wicket win.

In the match against Seylan Bank and Commercial Bank Pradeep Hewage struck a fine unbeaten 107 facing 139 deliveries with five fours.Hewage and Lanka de Silva (83) was engaged in a 170 run opening stand in 37.4 overs.

At the Colts grounds, Hatton National Bank beat Bartleet as Saman Jayantha hit his second sucessive century including six fours and four sixes while Chinthaka Jayasinghe hammered a rapid 64 facing 39 balls with five sixes and two fours to help HNB reach an imposing 319 in their 50 overs.

At the NCC grounds:

Seylan Bank beat Comercial Bank by 127 runs.
