World Test Championship to be mooted Our Special Representative - 19 February 1999 CALCUTTA, Feb 18: A meeting of former Test stalwarts is being held late Thursday evening to discuss the logistics and other issues for holding the World Test Championship. Although the complete list of the invitees was not known, Ramiz Raja and Asif Iqbal (Pakistan), Ian Chappell (Australia), Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar (India), Tony Greig (England), Graeme Pollock and Barry Richards (South Africa), Dave Houghton (Zimbabwe) are expected to attend the summit to be held under the chairmanship of International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jaghmohan Dalmiya. The agenda of the meeting was also being kept a secret. But it was learnt that a proper format, playing conditions and other issues would be discussed. In the meeting, a tentative proposal would be finalized which would be presented in an ICC meeting to be held at Lord's shortly.
