National cricket camp begins today 15 December 1999
Lahore, Dec 14: Captain Wasim Akram will conduct the national cricket camp when begins at the Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday at 1 pm. The camp is being arranged to prepare Pakistan team for the forthcoming triangular series in Australia, in which, besides Pakistan and Australia, the Indians are the third team. Pakistan team will leave Lahore for Australia via Singapore on Dec 29. The newly appointed coach Mudassar Nazar and manager Yawar Saeed are not available for the first two or three days of the camp. The Pakistan Cricket Board is awaiting Mudassar's arrival. Yawar Saeed is likely to join the camp by Saturday. Besides 14-member of the Pakistan team, five reserve players will also attend the camp. They are as follow: Wasim Akram (captain), Moin Khan (vice captain), Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Wajahatullah Wasti, Ijaz Ahmad, Yousaf Youhana, Azhar Mahmood, Abdul Razzaq, Saqlain Mushtaq, ShahidAfridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Wasim and Shoaib Malik.
