Andy Flower leads a strong side vs Sri Lanka 'A' The Daily News - 6 August 1999 Former Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower will lead a strong MCC side against the touring Sri Lanka 'A' team in their final first-class game of their UK tour at Shenley Park from August 17. The MCC team also comprises fellow Zimbabwe international team mates Paul Strang, Andy Whittall and big-hitting batsman Neil Johnson. West Indies fast bowler Reon King is also expected to play in the four-day game which will complete Sri Lanka 'A's tour of England. The MCC team: Andy Flower (captain), Neil Johnson, Joe Dawes, Reon King, Paul Strang, Jon Robinson, Andrew Lawson, Kalvin Williams, Chimnay Gupte, Michael Warden, Andy Whittall. Sussex game under lights Meanwhile, Sussex has received permission from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to stage their one-day match against Sri Lanka 'A' under floodlights at Hove. The 50-overs-a-side match is scheduled to be played on Sunday (August 15). Orange balls and green stumps will be used.
