Nur Khan records statement in camera Our Sports Reporter - 26 August 1999 Lahore, Aug 25: Former president of the Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan (BCCP) Air Marshal (retd) Nur Khan recorded his statement in camera in the one-man inquiry commission of Justice Malik Mohammad Qayyum at the Lahore High Court on Wednesday. The contents of the statement by the most respected former sports administrator have not been made public. On Aug 23 former Test opener and advocate Aftab Gul had met the High Court registrar Abdul Salam Khawar in his office and asked him to seek a date from Justice Malik Mohammad Qayyum for a statement to be recorded by Air Marshal (retd) Nur Khan. When the registrar requested the Justice for fixation of a date, he had replied: ``Please ask the Air Marshal to come to my court any day at 11 am for recording his statement''. The Air Marshal did come on Wednesday and preferred to record his statement in camera with the inquiry commission from 11 am to 11:30 am. The commission had been set up by the President of Pakistan Mohammad Rafiq Tarar in connection with the probe into accusations of betting and match-fixing against some cricketers.
