The Barbados Nation Throwback to 1979
The Barbados Nation - 26 April 1999

The only previous bottle-throwing incident at Kensington Oval was in 1979. Then, the match between Kerry Packer's Australia and West Indies teams was halted when Roy Fredericks was given out leg-before to Len Pascoe.

The bottles were pelted onto the field as the crowd chanted: ``We want Fredericks!'' But the Guyanese was not reinstated and the ottles returned, forcing the abandonment of the match.
