Lara's rating highest for 90s The Barbados Nation - 4 April 1999 Brian Lara has extended his lead as the No. 1 batsman on the PricewaterhouseCoopers Test batting rankings following his unbeaten 153 at Kensington Oval on Tuesday. He now has a rating of 912 points, the highest ranking of any batsman in the world in the 1990s. Don Bradman achieved the highest score of all time on the PwC computer, which calculated that he would have registered 959 points during the 1934 series against England. Lara jumped to No. 1 spot on the PwC Test batting rankings after his 213 against Australia in the second Test at Kingston, Jamaica. Steve Waugh, with his 199 in the first innings at Bridgetown, increased his points score to 880, but is still second on the rankings after Lara. The only change in the batting Top 10 after the Bridgetown Test was for Mark Waugh to drop two places to ninth, Daryll Cullinan and Nasser Hussain taking advantage of his demotion. Glenn McGrath was unable to make any headway on the bowling list despite his nine-wicket haul at Kensington. Courtney Walsh nudged past Anil Kumble into seventh place, while Stuart MacGill dropped out of the Top 10. Shane Warne is now ranked 21. The Top 10 Test batsman:
