Four cricketers - vice captain Aravinda de Silva, Muttiah Muralitharan, Upul Chandana and Nuwan Zoysa will have a fitness test on them before they are finally passed fit to represent Sri Lanka in the triangular one-day cricket series scheduled to be held in Australia from Jan. 3 next year.
Whether the four cricketers will go on tour will be decided after medical examination which would be carried out by December 23.

Thrilling draw at Moratuwa

The Isipatana vs Prince of Wales inter-school cricket match ended in a thrilling draw with the Cambrians having to score 10 more runs with two wickets in hand for victory in their second innings. Prince of Wales who were set to make 141 runs for win in 16 overs were 131 for 8 wickets at close of play at Moratuwa yesterday.
Isipatana made 239 and 107 while Prince of Wales made 206 for 9 wickets declared in their first innings after being 134 for no wicket at one stage.

12 teams from N'eliya for Div III tourney

Twelve teams have entered the Board of Control's Division III cricket tournament conducted by the Nuwara Eliya District Cricket Associatin which will get under way this month.
A number of new clubs will be seen in the fray with Dimbula Athletic and Cricket, Dickoya Maskeliya both having played the game for over 125 years being top contenders and others who will make their presence felt are Summerhill SC, Grand Hotel SC and Silver Orchid SC.
The Secretary of the Nuwara Eliya District CA Tuan Dole said that the matches are being played at Nuwara Eliya, Radella, Talawakelle, Hatton and Dickoya and the tournament will be concluded before the end of December 1998, so that the teams could qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
