A cricket coaching camp for the physical training instructors and masters in charge of cricket in schools in Badulla and Mahiyangana, will be conducted on November 24 and 26. It is organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka.
According to the secretary of the Regional Board of the BCCSL Mr. R.M.U. Ratnayake, the camp at Badulla will be conducted on Tuesday 24 while the other will be conducted at Dehiyathakandiya on Thursday 26.
Over 75 PTIs and masters in charge of cricket in Badulla schools and nearly 50 in Mahiyangana will attend these one day camps where the former Sri Lanka cricket player Mr. Asoka de Silva and several others will be in charge. The idea behind this coaching camp is to promote cricket in rural schools in Badulla and Mahiyangana area.
CCC set to win on first innings
CCC look set to obtain first innings points from NCC to enter the final of the BCCSL's Under-23 cricket tournament. Yesterday at Reid Avenue, NCC, were badly placed at 120 for 6 in reply to CCC's 295.
CCC who were 217 for 7 overnight went on to make 295 aided by a 117-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Romesh Fernando (70 with eight boundaries) and Nalliah Rajan (50 with four fours), while NCC's only bright spot came from Chinthaka Jayasinghe who was unbeaten on 58 with eight boundaries.

Tamil Union on top
Tamil Union look set to obtain an outright win early today in their Division II cricket tournament match with Ratnapura SC at the Saravanamuttu Stadium. Yesterday, Tamil Union made 217 for 2 declared in reply to Ratnapura SC's 90. Ratnapura SC were 52 for 5 at close.
The highlight of the game was the seam bowling of Tamil Union's Namal Samarawickreme who has so far taken nine wickets. Also, Sagara Kumara (93 with nine fours and a six) and Thanuru Gunatilleke (not out 76) made 164 runs for the first wicket in the Tamil Union innings.

A superb 147 with 14 boundaries and four sixes by Roshan Pieris helped Prince of Wales to total 301 for 7 declared in their schools cricket match with Sri Jayawardenepura MV which started yesterday at Moratuwa. Sri Jayawardenepura were 118 all out in reply.
Pieris and Pubudu Ranaweera (70 with 11 fours) put on 122 runs for the second wicket for the Cambrians, while Ranaweera also turned in a good bowling display to take 4 for 22 too.
