Canterbury junior cricket representative Karl Truscott has made a whirlwind, unbeaten double century for his Mairehau High School under-16 team. Truscott finished on 222 not out, off 130 balls, as Mairehau amassed 357 runs for the loss of four wickets against Shirley BHS last Saturday. The No. 3 batsman slammed 16 sixes and 17 fours and cracked 56 runs off the final four overs. Shirley BHS was bowled out for 44, with Mairehau's Johnny Smith taking six for nine.
