Barbados: Interesting Day Expected At Club Cricket

The Barbados Nation
28 November 1998

With rain clouds hanging about, today will be the most interesting day in the Courts/Suzuki Division 1 cricket competition.

Leaders Police will feel they have a chance to topple Big B Spartan at Queen's Park, while second-placed Cable & Wireless BET will also fancy their chances against Sports & Games YMPC at Backles Road as the 12th and penultimate round comes to an end.

The Lawmen, ahead by 43 in the second innings, would move to 70 points with a win, but Spartan would want to deny then that pleasure and leave them on 65.

BET, already ahead by 165, would leapfrog to 66 with victory and this would set up an amazingly tight final round next week.
