25 player U-19 Squad for pre-tour training being picked, trials in Rawalpindi, Peshawar & Lahore. Karachi & Hyderabad trials completed.

The Selection Committee (for Junior Cricketers) of Pakistan Cricket Board consisting of Mr. Mazullah Khan, Mr. Abdul Raqeeb and Mr. Azhar Khan will pick up a squad of 25 Under-19 players for pre-tour training. The Pakistan Under-19 Cricket Team's tour to England will commence on 18-7-1998. Following id the schedule for preliminary selection:-
Date: 25 May. Venue: Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. Players from: Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Selectors: Mr. Mazullah Khan and Mr. Azhar Khan.

Date: 27 May. Venue: Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar. Players from: Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Hazara and D.I. Khan. Selectors: Mr. Mazullah Khan and Mr. Azhar Khan.

Date: 1 June. Venue: Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore. Players from: LCCA, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, LDCA, Multan, Batawalpur, D.G. Khan, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Sargodha and Sukkur. Selectors: Mr. Mazullah Khan, Mr. Abdul Raqueeb and Mr. Azhar Khan.

Secretaries of all associations are once again requested to submit the names of the Under-19 players to the PCB whom they recommend for trials. Furthermore, players should report at the venues given above on given dates at 8:30 A.M. No further communication shall be made in this regard. The final squad for the tour consisting of 15 players will be announced later. An Under-19 player should be less than 19 years old on 1-9-1997. The TA and DA for the players participating shall be borne bt their respective associations. Associations holding trials in their grounds are responsible for proper arrangements. It may be noted that trials of Karachi and Hyderabad based players have already been completed.
